He threw 3 screen passes that were absolutely terrible, and all 3 looked to be nice gainers. That can be corrected, but still. Come on.

When was the last time LSU could run a screen pass? Mett couldn't. JJ or JL couldn't. Russell maybe?
I thought he played within the system well. First half was too predictable and he had 3rd and long too often. Not high percentage plays for any offense. Second half we opened up on first which helped the offense. He is a pretty good QB who has played in two games and lead team to 2 wins. He should get better and hopefully the offensive scheme becomes more open.

Come on man! He's 2-0 - NOT IN TIGER STADIUM - in BIG GAMES.

Jennings also had 2-3 drops. He would've likely had near 300.

He played well in the 2nd half and didn't fold. He kept his cool and didn't get rattled.

Play calling was ultra conservative early in the game. I think Jennings showed that he can be trusted to open the play book more. He had some bad breaks with receivers dropping passes and a couple of missed interference calls. But overall he made smart decisions and was pretty accurate.

By far the worst big program QB I saw Saturday.

Idiot

Jennings was great. The best thing that happened last night was 2nd and longs because we had to throw.

On the money with the deep ball all night

Jennings will be fine if he gets more work/confidence in his short game. He needs to settle down in the pocket and learn to trust his protection.

Tough to trust your protection when the o line played as shitty as they did in the 1st half.

That stat is misleading. In the first half, practically all his passes were in obvious passing situations and were thrown way downfield. That's a low percentage passing situation, which was reflected in his stats early in the game. When we let him start throwing in less obvious situations and some intermediate routes, he did well. The biggest problem with his accuracy seemed to be on the screen to Fournette. He also did not throw any interceptions against what is supposed to be a pretty good secondary.

He wasn't getting any protection in the first half because Wisconsin was stacking the box and blitzing a lot and we refused to spread the field with 3 WR sets and throw some short/intermediate passes to open things up. As soon as we did that, he hit some passes, the run game opened up and we protected him a lot better.

42% is not surprising at all. We have new starters at all offensive skill positions. Jennings missed some throws and the receivers dropped some passes.

The great news is they beat a really good team and now have a month to continue practicing and getting game experience before another big test.

If he gets to where he's completing 60% of his throws we're gonna have a great offense

so far I've not seen an indication that cam Cameron calls the kind of plays that will get him to 60%. our O just doesn't dial up enough of the little dink passes for a high percentage rate. granted, when we get skilled on screen passes it will improve. a coupla of those screens would have gone for major yardage last night. I hope we continue to work on it using Fornette. he's gonna be one hell of a weapon when we need it in SEC play. screens are something you want the other team to respect; it helps your running game.

stats are for idiots who over analyze things. he managed the game and didn't turn the ball over by throwing into double coverages and forcing passes. he threw the ball away when necessary and most if not all his passes were directly in the vicinity of his receivers. Quinn had 2 go through his hands, the TE (Gordon I believe) dropped an easy one and Fournette took his eyes off of the screens thrown to him and the option pitch.

in the battle of Jennings v. McEvoy. Jennings wins. I'm looking forward to seeing how he plays at home with a real home crowd behind him.

Desean Smith dropped a pass right in his hands. I did not get to see the replay but a screen pass to Fournette looked catchable.

The Smith pass should have been caught. The Fournette pass was not good. He threw a dart to a guy standing 5 yards from him. It was also behind Fournette. Not a terrible pass, but not a good one, either.

He was a little too quick to hit the spin button, but that could have been jitters. This offensive line should gel and start offering at least competent protection, so he should be able to get comfortable back there.
