Legalization of Marijuana doesn't change much about the employer-employee relationship when it comes to the ingestion of "drugs."
It is going to be treated the same as alcohol. Ie, you can do it on your own time in the offseason or so many hours before your "shift"/game, but if they test you after a game and find out you had it in your system, you're still going to get fined/suspended by the team or league.
It isn't like legalization is going to change much, if anything in the lives of those of us who work for a living.

what if you own your own business or work for someone who owns their own business and doesnt care about smoking? not everyone works for corporate america

No it wont. I can be drug tested and popped two wks after the fact for marijuana. I can drink an entire twelve pack and get tested the next morning and be perfectly clean. They are not treated the same and it's a shame.
