I got to work in the usual 10 minutes.

Lots of Wednesday morning classes.

There was actually an open forum talk last night at Chelsae's with Dr. Wolshon of LSU regarding traffic problems here in Baton Rouge. I personally know Dr. Wolshon having taken several of his classes and he's very intelligent and a passionate professional when it comes to this stuff.

I wish I would have known about the open forum sooner--I first heard of it yesterday in the Business Report email. I meant to start a thread but forgot.

Anyway, traffic has been really bad once schools opened in the area. We really do need to add north/south corridors and implement frontage roads on the interstates and Airline, widen Airline, widen I-10 from the split to WBR and move forward with a Loop.

It looked like a shitshow on WBRZ traffic cams before 7:30 this morning. I was glad I was watching it from home.

I agree that we need more studies to figure out why traffic is so bad.

There was a fender bender on I-10 westbound at the LSU lakes. It happend about 6:15 this morning. I was one of the first through the area and it wasn't much of an accident but it was 4 cars blocking the middle lane and partial of the two outside lanes. Traffic could get around both sides, but it obviously had to crawl around it and look.

It was minor. They coudld have pulled that crap over to the side of the shoulder but I'm certain someone is going to call an ambulance chaser to get their money.
