Feral hogs, being crop depredators, should be slaughtered wholesale and left to rot.
After all, worms gotta eat same as buzzards.
Green jeans can do nothing about leaving pigs to decompose in the field.
That being said, pork chops are good.....

my best shot ever was with my .30-06 killing a hog. was in a deer stand and on a mission to kill as many hogs as possible. we were having a problem with them running through the fence surrounding our feeders. as soon as i could see through my scope i sniped one hog and the other started b-lining it down the cut through directly at my stand. i reloaded my single shot thompson, hurried up and put the crosshairs on his head while he was running full speed about 150 yards and closing, i waited till his head swung up in motion and put it right through his neck and heart, killing him instantly. I've killed a lot of animals in my life but after that shot i had to just sit back and say holy shite that was awesome.

This I didn't know. I thought it would have been considered waste. Didn't know ferals could be used as target practice.

I'm not just shooting them to shoot them. I am killing them because they are destroying feeders and because they are tearing up the levees of the pond.
Plus, they eat deer fawns and all the acorns.
