Not if the person I replied to was saying he was strong armed. He had a choice, he did not have to agree to terms.

He didnt really have a choice. That's just silly to say.

He didn't have to agree he can choose another profession. He can choose another league to seek employment.

Under that reasoning you can make any rule that you want because if they don't like it they can just get another job.

In that case what choice did he really have? They hung his career over his head

I suppose he could've just avoided the DUIs in the first place.....

I didn't realize what that was about. Even crazier. Poor guy.

ETA: That actually reminds me of the Curb Your Enthusiasm episode when Larry gets busted for taking "performance enhancers" (viagra), and his girlfriend breaks up with him.

Apparently he was drinking a beer at home and the NFL showed up at his house to conduct the test.

I'm a little confused about what specifically happened. Did he have a couple of beers the day before a urine test? I thought that alcohol would clear out of your system pretty fast.

I believe they test for liver enzymes which can be more revealing than your standard urine tests. Have a buddy doing an outpatient rehab program and they can tell if he drank within something like 48 hours
