How do you see the 2 QB system playing out exactly?

Assuming there is a 2 QB system,I think Jennings starts and Harris will get his own series or two.

But what different skill-set do they possess (a la Leak and Tebow)? What comes to my mind is that Harris has a stronger arm and probably throws a better deep ball.

My conclusion: Harris doesn't have the entire offense down and will come in to run a condensed offense for a series or two. Will probably throw deep at least once each series.

Ultimately, the fact that the QB competition is this close probably means Harris ultimately wins with more experience.

Not too late for Jennings to separate himself though. If Jennings plays will high efficiency, it will be tough for the coaches to yank him.

How does everyone else see it?

I really wouldn't be surprised if we keep rotating them until deep in the season. Just seems like too much to ask for either to be consistent this year.

Lots of penalties for delay of game and false starts

About the same as it played out in 2004. Russell played some, Randall played some. Both were needed to get wins in certain games.

That's how it will be. Probably looking at 2 years of this before one leaves to be the full time guy elsewhere.

AJ plays the vast majority of the snaps, BH comes in for maybe 5 plays for option stuff.

I see a wishbone formation with LF in the center and Jennings and Harris flanking him on each side. The ball will be snapped to LF and he will run and run and run........

Fwiw, FSU didn't designate Winston as the starter until a week before Week 1.

What I don't want to see happen is them alternating series right from the start. You want to put some pressure on them to perform, but not necessarily turn it into competition vs Wisconsin.
They can do that in the next two games though, might be interesting to see that then.

I see AJ getting the start. Give him a minimum of 3 possesions to see how he does. That should give him some confidence that even if he makes some bone-head plays, he won't be yanked right away.

Depending on the game situation, give Harris a shot say playing the second quarter with the same rules, 3 possesions to get comfortable.

Evaluate both at halftime, and make adjustments accordingly.

Maybe so but AJ sure threw a nice deep ball against Ark. last year. Word is that Harris is the better all-around athlete while Jennings predictably has a better grasp of the playbook. Skill sets are very similar. I say the hot hand will play more, just like the Russell/Randall games of '04. Still think if one or the other steps up, Les will stick with them.

Jennings will have to hold him off with results. If he's Arky AJ, he's the starter until he's not. If he's Iowa AJ, Harris takes over quickly.

It's not only how much of the playbook you know, it's whether or not you can execute the play in a game.

Saw Jennings versus Iowa in Tampa. I do hope he gets better. And I hope Harris is good right from the start. I'd love to see both these guys succeed and help LSU succeed. May depend on how well coaches handle the 2 QB system, and how well the team responds to both QBs.
