We're closer to Oak Grove than PVP but fall within the PVP zone. Two kids there at the moment, Kindergarten and 5th grade. They both love it. My daughter went to Spanish Lake and it was also a good school. Ascension Parish in general has a pretty solid school system, With the exception of Donaldsonville and a few other areas.

What neighborhoods are you looking at?

My wife is a teacher at Prairieville Primary, so my vote has to be for them (not to brag, but she's a great teacher!). Lol. I have heard mostly good things about that school from her. I have met some of the other teachers there, and they all seem like pretty nice people.

As far as neighborhoods go, I would just look up and down Parker Road in Prairieville. We live in the Jamestowne Court subdivision and we like it. It's only a minute drive to the school. I don't know how many houses are for sale, but there are plenty of neighborhoods around.

Both my kids go to PVP. No complaints. I don't think you can go wrong with either one though.
