Having the crush doesn't make you a piece of shite. Acting on it would. You are human and it's not natural to only be attracted to one person in the entire world.

Harmless and natural. What is not harmless is if you act on it even slightly...meaning conversations about said crush.

Yes. It's perfectly normal. Just because you make a commitment to someone doesn't mean you suddenly don't find other women attractive. And it is very possible that you and this other woman are even more compatible than you and your wife, but good over it. Marriage is a commitment. Love is a choice, not a feeling.

If you want a real answer, I think attraction to other women is normal and not a reflection of you. Even if it gets to be a pretty serious attraction, still not something you can really help.

But, if it is growing because you're not taking steps to avoid that situation, then you're a shitty person. If you work with someone and develop a crush and don't foster or act on it, fine. But I've found (not married, but in relationships), that usually those things are fleeting, especially if I don't put any effort into them.

I'm not married but I don't see anything wrong with it. You can't shut off your emotions just because you put on a ring. To try and deny that you're human and you're always going to be attracted to other women makes things worse IMO. Those crushes come and go, no harm done with having a crush.

I think the more appropriate way to look at it would be:

quote:

just sucks to be human

sometimes.

hold your thoughts captive, a wise old man told me once.
