I get together with my guys on our sailboats every week and we basically do what you're talking about while sailing and crewing on each others boats. The wives love it because we come back home better for having had boat time and smoked and drank too much but have now solved all the problems of that week and are just generally relieved of most stress.

Not bowing to any pussy. But we're all old enough to know better and understand you have to make time for shite like this or you'll lose it and the benefits of having friends that close. Those are valuable. So we go sailing at least once a week. Even in the winter. Well, ok in the winter we mostly turn a boat into our own little club house and just hang out drinkin, smokin, and talkin shite.
