Yes it's accurate
Well, SYM has not helped themselves with their television ad where the "Mama" puts on a fricking catchers mask before sitting down to the meal. Wouldn't do a hell of a lot of good protecting against back slaps.
ETA: I think this ban, and the rationale, is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard

Not to mention, prior to that, someone unsuccessfully tries to slap her in the face, She parries the blow. Needless to say the attempted slapper was not Ray Rice nor the Kraken.
