This isn't like attending a catholic school in Louisiana where any person of any religion is allowed to attend.

Uh. . . . it was actually exactly like that.

I could match that bit of scripture with several from the Bible wherein your god condones slaughter.

This has been asked before on this board, but where is Islam's equivalent to the New Testament where it speaks about mercy, compassion, loving ones enemies, turning the other cheek, etc.? If it exist, I'd like to see it.

Neither the Koran nor the Torah have a New Testament equivalent, but there are very few practicing New Testament Christians in society today, aside from the Amish and a handful of other pacifists who believe in "turning the other cheek".

Did you come up with this on your own, or did some patchouli-smelling Comparative Religions 3003 professor give you this half-formed thought?

The last I checked, Jews weren't using the Torah to behead or crucify those who wouldn't convert to Judaism.

Mmmm...insightful reasoning. But incomplete.

Incomplete in that "practicing NT Christians" (save the "elect"/"few there be" scripture/prophesy) full well realize that they will not be able to reach the high bar that Jesus set. That is the ESSENCE of NT doctrine, and of Christ' philosophical basis. I.e., that salvation is - and must be - UNEARNED, and a 'gift'...so as not for one's own righteousness double back in the form of corrupting ego/power, and overcome the well-intentioned...but flawed and infinitely imperfect - individual.

And that 'gift', must come from THE DESIGNATED AUTHORITY...God manifest in the Flesh...in the form of Jesus Christ. "No man cometh up any other way than by me" (Jesus). No that is either the most deluded and arrogant assertion in the history of human utterance...or the Absolute Truth. One of the two.

To my (theological) knowledge, neither Islam or Judaism acknowledges this Universal Axiom. And assuming that this axiom might be true (for the sake of argument)...the whole Religious discussion does not come down to who does right (none of us, relatively so)...but who BELIEVES the right Idea.

IMHO, per Prophecy...grand vision/'second coming' will descend on what is left of us...after...the 'trial by fire'. And on many as they depart. And we'll all enter the parallel universe of our own subjective desire/making. Challenging drama for sure. And nothing less than I would expect from the sum total of all Conscious Energy/Intellect/Love.

It's about time Obama calls out radical Islam.

And if this thread is bashing Islam, then I've seen a number of treads that attack Judaism and somehow IB hasn't been banned for relentlessly attacking Catholicism.

Let me ask you a question. When ISIL grabs a person and he makes them kneel before him, right before cutting off his head, what religion is that person asked to convert to, to spare his life?
Is it Judaism, Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Mormonism?

You do realize Obama went to a Muslim school in Indonesia, right?
That's interesting because he actually attended a private Catholic school in Indonesia (St. Francis of Assisi) from grades 1-3, then a public school in Indonesia for 4th grade, then moved to Hawaii for grades 5-12. Not sure what your point is.

Obama is the ultimate apologist for Islam, even when a radical group professes Islam as the source of their inspiration.
