OK well maybe NO main sewer and storm sewer are connected but in many subdivisions and along road sides, the storm sewers are just underground concrete creeks that lead to open creeks or containment ponds and then on to local reservoirs. All of the input is surface runoff mostly from streets, residential yards, and parking lots. I have walked miles of these in TX and fished many and caught a ton of nice bass and sunfish. A great way to get some northern trout stream flyfishing experience in hot dry summer TX.

No they are separate systems but between cracks, illegal hook ups, and retarded workers a substantial portion of the "rain water" is raw household sewage. It is supposed to be all rain water runoff.
