Do: It, The Stand, etc.. anything of Kings that has been on TV but this time as 8 part miniseries on HBO.

Don't: Jaws and Raiders

I agree with all this. A Raiders remake might send me over the edge.

I think Kelly's Heroes could be a great remake, but I'd like them to change the plot a bit. Would be awesome with an ensemble cast.

I hope they never remake back to the future.

I guess the main thing is to think of a movie that would really be enhanced by todays technology to the point it would be worth it even if the movie was successful when it first came out. Or the movie had a great premise and the people that made it just fricked it up.

Maybe a big budget remake of Sinbad fits that bill. I know The Clash of the Titans remake didn't really have it's shite together but maybe they could get this one right.

I think another valid reason for remaking a movie is in the instances of films with great ensemble casts, Alan Ocean's Eleven. it's fun to see a modern version of some movies which were basically just vehicles for a bunch of big names to collaborate.

The Towering Inferno, with today's technology, might be interesting.

Never redo Casablanca. Never.

Day of the Dead

the nick cannon version was an abortion. if they used the actual script Romero turned in back in the 80s, a combo of Day and Land of the Dead, it would be pretty cool.

Do: Limitless- I thought the idea was awesome and was overall a good movie but I felt like it was missing some things that could make it great. Idk what though, just came away with that feeling.

Don't: The Godfather.

I think you're underestimating the youngest generation's ability to kill a movie.

I want to see a big screen Battlestar Galactica trilogy. I have not seen the most recent series but I remember the original from my youth and think it would translate well.
