Thanks for the suggestion, that seems to be exactly what I am looking for. Any suggestions on places to stay?

That's the issue. I'm not sure there's anywhere nice to stay unless you have a house there.

When I went it was with someone who owned a house.

There's several inns and bed and breakfast places . Apalachicola has hotels. St George probably just rent a house. I think there's one hotel on the island.
