I would put GM wires on it or I wouldn't change them.
For tune up I would do plugs, clean the throttle body
replace air filter
can of seafoam in the gas tank
flush coolant
service all the fluids

Diesel don't have throttle bodies. Well, I guess the driver in this case could be the throttle body and this case it needs to soak in bleach...
