What exactly is your wife looking to accomplish here? Does she suspect that your son is involved in something shady or is she just being nosy?

Im not deflecting. Your point is factually wrong based on your inability to use the words appropriately.
What do you want? Do you want me to ignore your failure and just interpret what I think you should have wrote...

you said "anyone in a plane can be a pilot"
that is factually incorrect.
It should read:
"Anyone in a plane can pilot that plane"
In your example you claim that anyone in a plane can be a pilot. We know that is incorrect because a pilot (notice the use of "a", signifying a noun) requires licences and certification. because this subsection of the population cannot be represented by ANY person selected at random your statement is factually incorrect.
Like I said, the fact you are an attorney and have difficulty with simple English is astounding.

That would be accurate if my statement wasn't in response to a post suggesting anyone that can sexual reproduce can be an effective parent. The point of the post, as you have so clearly laid out while missing at the same time, was that simply piloting a plane doesn't make you a pilot, somewhat like sexually reproducing doesn't really make you a parent.
Do you understand now, doctor doctor?

actually it does. Parent is a biological term for either the single organism in the case of asexual reproduction or the two individuals in terms of sexual reproduction which provided genetic material to produce the offspring.
Your point is still wrong...

I knew before you posted this would be your crawfish response.

A kid repeating Kindergarten is usually a matter of maturity rather than lack of intelligence. Different kids mature at different rates and it does not mean they are smart or dumb. It's not uncommon (especially for boys) for a kid to repeat kindergarten. I think there is also a growing trend of parents opting to not start their kid in kindergarten at 5 and instead waiting and having them start at 6 yrs old.
shite, I wish I would have repeated kindergarten. I was one of the younger kids in my grade, I didn't turn 18 until 2 months after graduation. My kindergarten teacher recommended to my parents that I be held back based on maturity. I guess my mother thought that being held back in k-5 suggested something about intelligence and sent me on because I was a bright kid. I think that the extra year and confidence I would have gained from being a year older would have done wonders for me academically in the long run. I always had trouble in high school prioritizing schoolwork until I got older.

It's ridiculous that you and your wife are spying on your child in the first place. Now you have to deal with the potential consequences of seeing that picture.

Everyone knows that anyone can be a father, its's something else entirely to be a Dad.

Is your kid pretty stupid? B/c most of the kids I know, know all of the tricks and would have that app disabled in like 10 mins.

I personally know 5 families who held their kid back in K-5 an extra year or waited to start them until they were six. They all cite the exact things you discussed.

True. All the more reason why I said this on page 5....
quote:
This. First off he's a 14 yr old kid that is living under your roof, eating your food, and wearing clothes you bought him. And finally, you bought him that phone and are paying for the service on that bill. That's not his phone. That's your phone that you allow him to use. And he needs to know that you can and will inspect that phone at anytime you choose and without any warning. There should be zero expectancy on their part of being able to hide anything from you. You're their parent, you're not their friend, nor are you simply their landlord.
bottom line, don't try to be cute and hide from your kids the fact that your doing your job as a parent.
Kid's aren't as dumb as we think. They'll know it if you're trying to bullshite them. This will make them lose respect for you as well as teach them that it's OK to be dishonest. Tell them what you're doing and why you're doing it.

How many of the dads are man enough to openly admit that is is so their kids will have an advantage in sports?
Posted on 8/14/14 at 12:49 pm to Rustontiger43
so how exactly does this app work?
Posted on 8/14/14 at 12:50 pm to Darth_Vader
Your argument is invalid. Alabama is an outlier state for kids needing to be held back.
The rest of the country told ya'll that it was "maturity" and "confidence" issues. But we all know the real reasons
