I've had an Onkyo RC-270 that was riddled by HDMI issues, even after being "fixed" by Onkyo. Previously I had an Onkyo TX-DS575 and TX-SR600, so I was an Onkyo fan. Never again after that 270.
Since then have used a Pioneer VSX-1120 and currently have a Yamaha Aventage RX-A820 and haven't had issues with either one.

I don't blame you a bit.. like I said they lost a lot of customers and goodwill over that HDMI issue.

why is this the first I've heard about this problem with Onkyo after posters consistently recommend the brand on this board? I own two denon receivers that I love but just bought an onkyo to run my patio sound a couple of weeks ago. so far so good, but I don't like the sound of this HDMI issue.
