All I'm saying is their is no proof he was born there and to seem like it's a known fact is wrong.
There's plenty of proof.
- Alfred tells Bruce that Bane was born in the prison.
- You have that line in the sewers from Bane.
- And you also have Bane responding with the word "Home." when Bruce asks where they're at upon his imprisonment.

Alfred was telling him the story of a person who was believed to be Bane were he was born and escaped the pit, in the end it is revealed that this was actually the story of Talia.

Already been stated the line doesn't make sense unless it was a metaphor, and therefore if part of his sentence is a metaphor then so could the "born" part

Calling something "home" doesn't mean you were born there. It means you lived there. When you move you get a new "home".

Dude what do you want legal documentation?
I think 3 references to it is plenty for confirmation in a movie

one reason I sort of give them a pass on this one. I think they really had to deviate from what he actually wanted the 3rd one to be. They'll never admit it, but there was too much foreshadowing in TDK to believe Joker would not have been a big part of TDKR. I'd love for that plot to leak out down the road.
I agree that they probably wanted to go in another direction and Ledger's death altered their plans....and they will never admit that.

To me the whole pit thing was the most uninteresting and dumb thing about the movie

Y'all are trying to rationally think out and argue a plot point in a movie that was neither rational nor thought out.
This argument is the symptom of three things: poor writing, editing, and directing

Sorry but that movie was a giant piece of crap....and I'm a huge Nolan fan and have always loved Batman films.
This one, though, was trash.
