Reality, and "fantasy land"...are not mutually exclusive, TX. Einstein said that "imagination" is more powerful than intellect. He's right. Not that you would understand.
Both Love and Beauty are found in "fantasy land". They are abstract powers, and absolutely subjective; as they exist for some folk...and don't for others.
Good luck with your personal intellect and will power. You're gonna need it!

Not to butt in, but the thread title only has "political leftist" in quotes, and Rush did actually say that. It's pretty clear in that transcript that he was implying RW's "political leftist" attitude contributed to his killing himself.
It was a despicable thing to say, but is par for the course with Rush. One of the most despicable human beings in this country today.

I feel like he answered the caller's question sufficiently, but then actually circled back around to stick his foot in his mouth. He could have just left off and he would have been fine.
And to be clear, he definitely insinuated that a "liberal worldview" is a causal factor in suicide. It was stupid, but then again, we expect this from Rush so whatever.

In a shallow sense...Rush is right re Leftist being angry. The fact that he points this out, and the reactions in this thread...pretty much proves his point.

I mean, we know liberals are all mentally ill, but we have no evidence that liberalism causes substance abuse or contributes to manic depressive behavior (specifically).

Whatever gets you through the day. But the reality is that the problems you are trying to suppress still remain and are never addressed, so they grow bigger and bigger - not unlike our government. Assholes like Rush provide such fantasy as to numb your pain by unloading all guilt and responsibility to the "other side."
However, again, the problem remains. Only you care a little bit less about it because you have convinced yourself to be numb to it.
This solves nothing other than to numb you up until they box you up.
