It consumes me from August through November. After attending all LSU FB games in HS and college ('86 graduate), it became hard to watch during the "dark ages" (Arnsbarger, Hallman, Archer, Dinardo). As much as I hate Saban, he brought greatness back to LSU football, and I've watched or web-casted every game since. My blood pressure rises to dangerous levels during games. I've resorted to riding a bike trainer in front of the TV to de-stress. I wish I could convince myself "it's just a game". I've got it bad!

I used to be all-in...after a win, I was walking proud for a week and a loss really got me down...

after losing the national championship a few years back, I don't get nearly as emotionally invested anymore...I still go to every game and enjoy it all, but I am pretty much over it by sunday afternoon regardless of the outcome....

This describes it perfectly for me. I think it comes with getting older, at least for most people that mature like human beings are supposed to. I don't love LSU any less I just have more important things in my life that take up most of the stress in my life nowadays, and I'm not even married with kids yet. I just don't have the energy to get down for a week after a loss anymore.

It's huge, but I can usually get over losses pretty easily. I think 1/9 allowed me to cope with losses better. However LSU's next serious title run may get me just as intense as I was before.

Me too. 1/9 was a wake up call. I love LSU, but was to emotionally involved. It's just not that big of a deal anymore. I still enjoy the games, but if they loose there is always another.

After the loss to Ole Miss in 2013, I said that's it. I cannot be this emotionally connected to these games. They were killing me.

I still watch or listen to all games, but I don't get nearly as up or down as in years before. When I watched the Bama game a few weeks after that Ole Miss loss, I did not give a flip.

Had to do the same with the Saints many years ago. They were just good enough to break my heart every year. When they later won the Super Bowl, I was very happy, but a loss would not have hurt me.

I have been a LSU fan since the age of three and that was 49 years ago. I didn't go to LSU but my dad was a high school football coach and we lived and died football. Especially LSU.

Some of the greatest memories I have is my dad , my brother, and me laying in front of our console stereo listening to tiger games with John Ferguson calling the games and ol Charley Mac at the helm.

I take LSU losses hard and wins put a smile on my face all week but no matter what I am an LSU Tiger down to my soul.

Tiger Stadium is hallowed ground to me and I feel the spirit of every player that graced that field when I am lucky enough to be there for a game.

The best advice I could give to anyone is to show up early and stay late and cherish every damn moment of being a Tiger fan.

Because memories shared with loved ones at a Tiger game and talking about them with my dad and brother on the phone from California help me in missing Louisiana every day of my life.

I know some people don't understand how you can love a university you didn't go to but I am from Louisiana and I will be a Tiger till my last breath.

I have an LSU room in my house in California and my golden tabby is named Tiger.

I want to have some of my ashes spread on LSU campus so I can watch them for eternity.

I am very grateful to all LSU fans for their passion that makes being a Tiger fan so much fun.

And I know 1-9 hurts but that is what is so great about there always being the challenge of the next year and the players coming in and seeing the new players who said I want to be a tiger.

If you can step back once in awhile and realize it isn't just the winning and losing but the time spent with loved ones and the enjoyment of going to the games and watching them with friends.

That's the good stuff and don't lose sight of the fact that these players put their heart and souls into putting that LSU uniform on and representing us and that is good enough for me.

Its gotten better since 1/9. I am over it by the morning now. Used to last thru the weekend. Ive become more emotionally invested in the saints. From what i remember, it didnt affect me as much while i was in college. After college for those 4 years, it was bad, til 1/9 and the week later when the saints lost to the 49ers. That was my bottom. Guess i should be thankful.

1/9 was the worst day of my life.

A lot of people on this board say that but that game was so appalling that i was over it by the fourth quarter. The LSU team had a harder time being excited for the game, and it showed. Really shouldn't be that hard to cope with.

The atmosphere around LSU football created magic moments in the players and fans on the way up to the top. Once at the top, the atmosphere became one of entitlement and expecting thus the magic moments left. They'll come back when the atmosphere is one of undying support without so much fretting and negativity.

I follow LSU sports a ton. It's really important to me. But at the end of the day, you have to be able to accept the highs and lows because their will be plenty of both. I try not to get too upset over a loss even though it can be hard at times. LSU athletics shouldn't define who you are.
