You actually hate someone because you think they aren't good? Wow...

Antonio Brown took 2 years to become a somebody, took him 4 to have a great season.

Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker took 3 years to become top receivers and it took Manning as well.

Edelman took 5 years to even get starting time

Nate Washington took...a lot

If it wasn't for the fact that Brees has a great connection with some of his receivers (Moore/Meachem), Toon would have been getting more reps. There are a lot of gifted receivers with unreliable hands, but they get better. A lot of these 'breakout' receivers you hear are getting 400-500 as the #3-4 receiver on their teams. When they 'breakout' its usually because they're the #1 receiver or #2 due to injury, trades, or FA losses.

If CSP demands anything its reliable hands and downfield blocking in his WR's.

Meachum seems like a waste of a roster spot to me and we have yet to see what Morgan can do.

Tanner was doing well and rarely drops. And Toon is still a question to me after 2 plus years which like the neck is not a good sign.

It was hard to detect given the context, and that you sound like a lot of people on here when it comes to Toon. Apparently I wasn't the only one that failed to pick that up.

That's why I brought it up. Some of what I said holds a little weight actually. I'm reserving judgment to see how he translates his play/training to the coming regular season. He needs to prove he belongs on an NFL field this year IMHO. I really hope he can take that leap and be a WR #1, but as of right now I just don't see it. Hoping he proves me wrong and there's not a better time for him to do that than now.

I agree. I haven't given up on him, but this year is put up or shut up for him.

Besides the penalty for the block in the back, he played ok last Friday. He was running a lot of short routes.
He just looks very tentative and a bit soft on the field. That short crossing route that he caught on third down could have at least gotten close to the first down had he lowered his left shoulder and kept running forward. Instead he stopped and tried to duck away from the tackle. I mean he's 6'3" 220, he may have gotten it had he just fallen forward. He really needs to work on little things like that in order to become a more consistent player.

Yeah. I'm just Toon torn. Until I get a better sample size of him when it counts, I can't really gauge him very well. I've seen a lot of bad with flashes of good, so we'll see.
