Breitlings are fine watches, the only controversy is from idiots arguing the relative merits of Breitling/Omega/Rolex/etc.

Buying from an Authorized Dealer (AD) will not be cheap, but you know what you're getting and warranty service will be easy.

If you choose to buy online, Govberg Jewelers and any of the other major pre-owned retailers that advertise on Timezone/Watchuseek/etc are good resources.

If you choose to go private deal on the for sale Forums or Ebay, the wisest advice I ever saw was "Buy the seller before you buy the watch" Do some research on good guys and only buying from people with known history can save you a lot of heartache.

Here in DFW area, Haltoms's or Bachendorf's have great selections. Don't assume that the ladies working behing the counter know anything about Breitling. Discounts of 5-15% off MSRP are not unusual, but hard to get as a first time buyer.

I got my Navitimer Cosmonaute from a well-known Ebay retailer with spotless feedback and could not be happier. Pics or it didn't happen!
