Same as others have suggested. Don't overwork the meat. Put a dimple in the center. Salt and pepper on the outside. Get a good sear. Use condiments and additions once cooked for flavor. Search for the recent burger bar thread for more ideas.

No eggs. No breadcrumbs. If you want to add onions or other ingredients in the burger, "cut" them into the meat with a knife or fork ala Julia Child. Then just push the meat together. This method avoids overworking the meat making the burger packed and tough.

for four people. 1.5-2 lbs beef. add 1tbs minced garlic, salt,black pepper, bit of cayenne into a bowl. mix and form eight patties. stuff a good amount of blue cheese into dimples on half the patties. seal with other half. best burgers ive ever had and theyre super easy.
