A shortwave radio from the late 1940's. It depends on vacuum tubes that are of course no longer available, but I did a test run on it about ten years ago and it worked fine. The problem was that hardly anyone other than hobbyists are fooling with shortwave anymore.
According to ancient relatives, "back in the day" you could routinely hear Radio Moscow broadcasts talking about capitalist running dog lackeys and such.

My grandma has a ge fridge from the 50's. Swivel shelves and a tiny freezer. Runs great. Been in the garage since the 70s.
Awesome lever handle on it.

The heck with garage-Siberia, my similar "grandma" fridge is as old as I am, and it's still my day-to-day icebox. And yes, it really was my Grandma's.
Matching GE "Hotpoint" electric stove, too. Must have been a banner day in Southdowns when these units were delivered.

Stove. In the house when I bought it but I know it's pretty old. Still works perfectly.

Not me, but my younger brother just took over my late grandparents house and he still has their olive green refrigerator and a deep freezer that looks like a 57 Chevy

I have every one of you beat, I inherited a singer sowing machine that has a foot bar which operates the thing and it folds up into a table, weighs about 150lbs and fills up a corner of the garage nicely...

I stood to inherit one of those things too but a cousin got it instead. It was from the 1920's. Back when electricity wasn't widely available the foot pedal was the only way to get things done, and for that time it was a marvelous contraption.

I have my great grandmother's singer from the 1880s and an O'Keefe and Merritt stove from the 1940s.
