1. at Florida. the week after playing at Auburn. We always have a tough time in tSwamp.

2. Wisconsin in Houston. dangerous opener with all our youth at the skill positions. Wisky is always a solid team, and like us, have all offseason to prepare for this game.

3. Alabama. this appears to be a tossup. LSU needs to take advantage of home field.

4. at Auburn. I think they're being overrated going into the season, but never an easy place to come out with a W.

5. at Texas A&M. last game of the year, and who knows how good this team will be by then.

AU is toughest game of the year. First off, they are far from a bad team, and secondly, it's at Jordan Hare.

TAMU and Wisky probably don't belong on the list. Ole Miss may though.

1a) Bama
1b) @ Auburn

Big gap

3) @UF
4) Wisconsin
5) Ole Miss

ETA: I think your list is pretty ridiculous. A&M will suck. Wisconsin tougher than Bama and Auburn? Come on...

It's hard to argue against Bama being anybody's toughest matchup, especially ours. Thanks to their flabby-arse schedule, they will be undefeated and hungry to claim the west when they come to town.

I feel like cowbell U has to be on the list. Mark it: After we beat them, they will win a bunch of SEC games and knock off somebody big and our win over them will look that much better.

LSU never plays well in Jordan Hare. LSU beat that terrible Auburn team by only a score of 12-10 in 2012. Think about that.

1) Auburn - at Jordan-Hare, Marshall will be in mid season form loaded with talent to throw to. Their front 7 is pretty decent too (we can't be one dimensional there). They are loaded at RB and OL. Honestly at first I thought they were a 3 loss team, but as time goes along, I can see they could very well be the first SEC winner to repeat in a long time.

2) Bama - obviously they go here, and have been a monkey on our back since 1/9. Even though they have a lot of inexperience and youth starting at OL, Secondary, QB, and also a meh DL and overrated LB corps, they should be pretty decent even early on. They don't play us til way down in the year, so half of these questions might be strengths by the time the game comes around.

3a) UF - while we are on the road, I just don't see UF being that much better than last year. The offense should be a step up, but that defense was nearly intact when we played them last year, and we pushed that DL around. Had we actually passed from the start, the game wouldn't even have been as close as it was.

3b) Ole Miss - the other monkey we need to get off our back. They are better everywhere than they were last year as they lost barely anything outside of Moncrief. I have this game basically tied with UF because of that and the fact that we can not seem to beat these guys handily (with the exception of 2011) even with the advantages. The defense forgets how to play against them every year, and it needs to stop. The offense has never really had a problem with them. Gonna be a tough one in the Valley.

4) Wisky/MSU - can't decide.

@Auburn: First road game of the season, Jordan-Hare is always a tough place to play
Bama: Toughest matchup on paper, but it's at home and we should have a bigger psychological advantage
Wisconsin: Season opener, huge test for our young guys
@Florida: Second of back-to-back road games, the Swamp will be tough
Ole Miss: 9th straight game without a bye, OM often plays us close

Ole Miss belongs in the top 5 just based on the fact that they are our 9th game in a row..

This may sound ridiculous, but I'm concerned about Arkansas.

It's a week after Bama and we go on the road to Arky. We'll be emotionally flat and they usually play us well. Classic trap game.
