My last two were Fords cause I thought they were the prettiest
what does that say about my intelligence?

The injector is just gonna get some diesel kleen and hopefully it fixes itself because I can't even see the wires or hoses going to it
here is the concoction I've always used to free a sticking injector and or a Fuel Pressure regulator
buy the big Diesel Kleen Silver 250 gallon treatment from Walmart
then buy the gallon jug of Lucas injector cleaner from O'reilly
put half of the diesel kleen in a full tank and 1 quart of the Lucas as well...
then add two quarts of ATF into the tank.

I got P0202 a couple of times which is cylinder 2 injector circuit/open as per my programmer. fricking thing only has like 10,000 miles on it
Eta: I have about 20gal of fuel in it and dumped the 40gal Diesel Kleen bottle in there. Should I also add the Lucas stuff, and is it just regular old injector cleaner?

The Lucas is for Gas and diesel...dump at least another 40 gal bottle of the diesel kleen in it as well...
don't forget the 2 quarts of ATF...just the plain ol cheap add on ATF is good...the lubricity it adds helps a lot...note:only do the ATF at most for 2 tanks in a row if another dosing is needed.

Hope it works for you...it's saved me a couple of times...
I'm not the inventor of this recipe...A well known guy in the Dmax community came up with this to help the poor SOB's like myself with LB7's with sticking injectors and galled Fuel Pressure regulators on the CP3

We used ATF a lot to clean injection systems when I was a tech, it has a very high level of detergents in it. And that's why the inside of auto trans. stay so clean...

Just don't try it on a truck with a DPF. It won't like it.

Injector circuit open probably means the solenoid driver on the injector is shot and fuel treatment won't do anything for that.
Worth a shot for sure, but I'd check the wiring going to it if you can get to it.

Nope, can't see it. It is intermittent, so I didn't think it was a wiring problem. It could be missing on the #2 cylinder when I park it, and when I start it the next morning, it is fine. Only happens after a hard romping
I couldn't see an injector in that truck to save my life. Can't even see the wires or fuel lines because it is so tight in there. All injectors have about 10,000 miles on them. Basically the entire fuel delivery system from the tank to the cylinders is new.

It could be the poppet/needle/whatever is in ford injectors sticking, but I'm gonna guess its electrical.
You know why you couldn't change that starter? The motor is supposed to blow up and you're supposed to buy a new truck before the starter fails.

Man, what a POS that thing is. I swapped the starter in the Tahoe in about 30 minutes, but it took almost 4 hours for this truck. Something is wrong there.
I put it on CL Saturday, and have had 2 guys come look at it, about 20 emails, and 3 or 4 offers. Somebody just needs to show up and drop some money in my lap.
I had a dude email me the other day and ask "How many $100 bills would it take for me to get your truck?". Wtf kind of stupid question is that? I think I am gonna drink an entire handle of Jack within an hour of me leaving the title place. This will be my last Ford ever. I cannot trust a company that puts out those kinds of products. I'd rather own a GMC rape van than another Ford.

My 07.... I thought somehow I fricked up the first oil changed after I bought it (used)... I ews like shite, maybe the truck wasnt level and didn't get it all out. Crawled all over looking for leaks and never found one. Second oil change again same thing. Two qiarts missing. I had the ole lady outside watching for smoke when in started it or ran it hard. Had me for a loop until I researched. The truck ran like shite. Crew cab z71 with a piece interior. Sold it at 54k miles

Alright, so I dumped 2 bottles of Diesel Kleen, one bottle of Lucas injector cleaner, and two bottles of ATF. Just got it up to running temp and floored it for about 2 seconds. EGTs jumped up to 1400 pretty damn quickly and I backed out of it. They would normally be running at 950 doing the same thing. Is it supposed to get that hot that quickly?
Posted on 8/7/14 at 8:23 pm to Hammertime
I wouldn't ride around with 1400* egt.
