I had an initial reaction similar to yours... But I am confident enough in this team that we could break the Peej curse.
Plus, he had a qualifier. He said if all teams stay healthy with no injuries to key players, the Saints will win. So .. Let's say Julio jones is hurt. Qualifier isn't valid anymore so I consider the whole point moot.
