Take a look at the top of the SEZ addition...

...there's even more standing room only space than I thought there would be.

We'll be neck and neck with Kyle Field this year. And ahead of Kyle Field next year, when they downsize to add more premium seating.

Edited to better reflect intent.

Honestly, how many could they possibly sell? It's not like you would be able to see the field from up there if you were in the back near the legos and behind tons of other standing fans.

That doesn't look like much room behind the bleachers. I mean, they need room for people to walk, don't they?

It's a pantheon of concrete, steel, and PVC.

no there isn't and you probably won't be able to see the field from back by the concession stands anyway.

Media members, officials, vendors and security are already being counted in "stadium capacity". This explains how you can go from 92k to 102,321 by only adding 8k seats. The fire marshall will have far more determination on the actual capacity than how much room there is available behind the seating.

ETA: I'm wrong. The number does not already count the SRO.

Sorry boys, but that hodge podge, bric-a-brac design looks like crap. It's still one of the greatest places on earth to watch a football game, but aesthetically it's a freak show.

Whoever built the Huey P. Long bridge in NO must have helped out with the SEZ expansion. The new addition on the east side end does not line up with the existing end of the east upper deck. Looks like it sticks out a few feet. The new addition on the west side end lines up better but even that is not spot on. Guess it is OK for government work.
