It's simply Ram Trucks, they dropped the Dodge portion in the name in about 2010.

My ford is ultra quiet also

Had a 2011 F-150 and now a 2013, and this is quite possibly my favorite feature. It's as quiet as some luxury sedans I've ridden in. My bro-in-law's Tahoe is probably twice as loud from a road noise stand point.

Is this the thread where nobody is willing to admit that their truck is a piece of shite?

Bump.

Lifelong GM and current GMC Sierra (2011) owner here, and I'll readily admit my truck is a POS. Bought it 4 months ago and I'm about to trade it in for a 2010 Ford F-150 Platinum. I'll lose some money in terms of trade value vs. what I paid, but I'm done with GMs.

Also, the interiors of the high end Fords (Platinum and King Ranch) are off the charts, and worlds better than anything GM has pumped out in years.

Yeah, I've had a 93 and 98 Silverado, a '10 Tahoe and now a 2011 Sierra, and they've all been loud as hell. My wife and I would practically have to yell at each other on interstate trips. Meanwhile, my dad's '10 King Ranch F-150's ride is as smooth and quiet as they come.

The fact that my dad was a lifelong GM owner before buying a Ford has never looked back is telling enough to me.

Exactly how many have you gone through in 8 years?

Had a salesman be totally honest with me a few weeks ago - in his opinion, the edition is overrated and they haven't sold like GM thought they would. I don't like the grill myself

How do you like this truck's grill?

Re: Light gas-powered pickups

The new GM products are just as good as Ford or Ram or Toyota. They all have to reasonably keep up with each other; pick any brand and someone will have a horror story about it or be completely in love with it.

It's mostly just personal preference now, the build quality is so good on modern cars and light trucks.

i have driven a tundra for 2 years and its a good truck. Has a huge backseat, the family prefers it on vacation compared to wifes vehicle. No problems to date and the 5.7L is a beast.
