I think players look at TEAM USA as part of their branding so I doubt we go back to the bad old days. Part of this emphasis on TEAM USA is from Kobe and Lebron. Another part is the players respect for Coach K.

So whomever takes over for Coach K may have to deal with the fallout of this injury. That probably means a dramatic scaling back on practice time and exhibitions.
