I work several blocks from the accident, and no one has warned us about any type of evac.

I think they just evacuated the businesses across the street on Choctaw.

I work on mammoth and we have heard nothing about evacuations

Live in Villa Del Rey, nothing on a home evacuation either.But it's a bad area, no need to preserve life if the cause arises.

BRPD walked the businesses along Choctaw and told everyone to shut down and go home.

Could have been applying the air brakes then or someone didn't knock off the hand brake..

Exact same location where a train hit a tank truck trying to cross the track about 18 years ago. Fortunately, the truck wasn't carrying anything flammable. The driver got fired, though!
