My buddy just bought top of the line Go Pro. Problem is his computer can't handle downloading the HQ images and video. He's in the market for a laptop that can handle all his editing needs. Suggestions from any Go Pro users?

What kinda RAM and hard drive would be sufficient?

Probably should ask the tech board. IIRC, there is also a "build your own computer" guide somewhere on TD

strange...I didn't realize that downloading took much of a computer. is it locking up or running out of hard drive space or what?....

The build your own computer thread is on the gaming board and it is fantastic. You'll get something much better and cheaper than you could ever buy, it's also about as hard to do as building with Legos.

Does he want a laptop or a desktop?
He will need 4gb minimum of RAM which most computers should come with nowdays, I would do at least 8gb ram if I were going to be doing a lot of editing.

I do my stuff on a MacBook but it's definitely not the only option. Mac comes with an editing program called iMovie and it's really good and easy to use.
