So you're paying $8K not to live in Shreveport?

Most would pay double or tripe that.

You just won't get to be a Cowboys fan. (shrugs)

VP also stressed that they're looking for long-term implications with considering to hire me. I just don't want to burn bridges inadvertantly with a company that has treated me extremely well during my internship with them and will more than likely extend me a standing offer once I part ways before the semester begins.

Shreveport isn't that bad at all. I grew up there. Your cost of living will be a lot less in Shreveport compared to Houston. A single bedroom apt (in a good area) in houston could run you over $1000 easily. Compared to Shreveport where you could rent a small house instead. Depends on the type of lifestyle you are wanting.
