And you totally redeem yourself...

Not by a long shot, but for a lawyer, you're easily rattled, and easy to read.

Rattled? What made your brain think that?

I'm not being a dick, it's just that your say (write) very stupid things. Maybe you're drunk? Or tired? But definitely impaired in some way.

Rational, objective, thinking comes across as impaired thought to you? Jar head/attorney is a bad combination for you.

Kyle has been called and proved a liar time after time. It's funny that there are so many people that are defending him.
Kyle is a pathological liar and had a chance while alive to drop the story out of the book. He chose not to and now looks even worse.
Good for JV

People let the whole soldier thing cloud their judgment.
Just because someone serves our country doesn't make the infallible.

I don't think the carjacking story was in Kyle's' book ,but in the book of a friend (Marcus Luttrell?) & supposedly confirmed by Kyle in a later interview.
I read Luttrell's book. I can't recall any mention of that silly car jacking story. It's been awhile but I thin if I read that the popo ran some cat's license and it only came back with a phone number talking about the dude being superman... I wouldn't have finished the book.

Kyle was a blowhard, lying product of supply and demand, if he was a SEAL at all, when in periods of peak demand, standards are usually lowered, and he didn't fit the mold at all
1. It is absolute fact, which fact is primary to the discussion in the first place, that he was a SEAL. Yet, there you go.
2. It's stupid enough to think that SEAL standards ebb and flow with the times, but then, even after someone points that out to you:
quote:
He was in BUDs class 233, the class started with 108 men, only 23 finished, 75-80% attrition has been the norm for decades.
You still respond:
quote:
He certainly didn't fit the silent service profile. I still say supply and demand. Product of lowered standards.
It's bad enough to make a stupid statement with so much conviction, but then when someone's trying to help you out and point out the obvious error, nope, you're just gonna stick to it.
And add delusional to it as well.

Lie or not it makes JV look like a douche bag. If he wants to clear his name that was tarnished he could donate it to wounded warrior. Then everyone knows it's a lie and he gets back in favor of the masses.

Zowie! If I was an attorney, I would love to see you on the other side of the aisle. I would resist the temptation to pre-gloat, and would start a victory dance as my opener.

Why do you have such a serious hard on for Kyle? It's clearly above and beyond any random passing interest.
Posted on 7/31/14 at 9:36 pm to USMCTiger03
Maybe it's because he is the least like any SF guy that I've ever seen/heard of/ever known, going several wars back, even to my Dad's compadres from WWII?

There is something I am not getting here. If Kyle was telling the truth wouldn't the jury side with his estate?
I have no opinion on what Chris Kyle did or did not do, but I have been sued in my professional career, have given depositions in lawsuits, and provided expert testimony in in a case, based on this experience, I can state that in too many instances a jury's verdict has nothing to do with what actually happened.

What about libel/slander cases? I always assumed they were hard to win.
