Those filters don't catch everything, only decent sized clots, and they can cause complications themselves. Pay attention to the changes you see in your leg. I've seen people who are completely fine and then hardly able to breathe bc they threw a clot from the leg into their lungs without realizing they even had one in the leg to begin with.
