I actually did do this(though not a door supply but a local builder's supply store) and one of the guys they recommended was the one Lowe's sent to estimate the install.
May try a door supply place anyway. It didn't really give me a great feeling getting recommendations from the Lowe's guy when he hadn't even seen the spot where the door is going.
