But let's think about this logically. If there is a disease out there that kills anywhere from 60% to 90% of all people it infects would a country not be wise to take steps to ensure someone who is carrying that disease does not just get off a plane at one of their airports and just go gallivanting out to mingle with the general population? I mean, call me crazy but.

You're not crazy. With all the illegal immigrants and world travel, this disease is a threat to the world.

As a caveat, it’s also important to know that early on, persons with Ebola may have symptoms that are nonspecific (headache, chills fever) making identification of the virus nearly impossible. It could be easily be mistaken for other illnesses including malaria, cholera or even typhoid fever. Only many days into the illness–after the onset of profuse vomiting and diarrhea–will a patient exhibit the telltale signs of Ebola with bleeding from the mouth and nose along with rectal bleeding concurrent with shock, liver and renal failure, followed by continued bleeding and fulminant cardiovascular collapse.
sounds like that body heat thing may not work if the symptoms haven't shown.. They would just be treated for malaria, cholera, or typhoid...
