I don't know the % of cancer in the general pop but is 1,655 of 37,000 a much higher rate?

Ya, I see a number after googling that 40.8%(Good lord if accurate) of men and women will be diagnosed for all cancers.

Of course there may be a spike in specific cancers at Ground Zero.

Like to see numbers.

Yep, that's pretty accurate. However, you're talking 4 out of 10 people will be diagnosed with cancer, in their lifetime. This includes non fatal skin cancers like basal cell and squamous cell, which are the most common.

I'd be more interested in the occurrence rate of a specific type of cancer among the 9/11 responders.

Also firefighters in general have a much higher rate of cancer than the general population.
