re: 25-06 for deer question

I had a weatherby 257 mag. Sold it for the cost of ammo, way to loud and it messed up every deer I shot with it, (3). Was going to get. 25/06 but got a deal on a 700 mt rifle in 7mm/08. I've heard folks swear by 25/06 and is really fun and cheap to shoot. Get good ammo and ask around as it is important to get the right grain bullet for deer not the same as varmint ammo which is why folks lose deer. The varmint stuff blows up and doesn't exit.
