with the ticket returns from Sam Houston St., UL-Monroe, Mississippi St., New Mexico St., Kentucky, and Ole Miss ... what exactly does this mean for us?

lack of attendance at games is a problem everyone in the country is facing but it irks me when people don't show up for games in our own house. The ONLY game that is completely sold out is Bama, and something tells me Death Valley won't be full on November 8th anyway.

I hate seeing empty seats, if you can't make the game, or don't want to because of your nice TV and ESPN/SEC Network at home ... give the tickets to people who actually WILL go to the games.

walking away from soapbox. Rant's thoughts?

I am thinking

1) This thread has happened a million times

2) Yes, poor attendance irks me.

3) People who pay for tickets can do as they damn well please with them.

ETA: I have never had the problem of legitimately not being able to find a ticket. If somebody wants a ticket that bad, they can get their arse out and find them.

40$ shite per game was the catalyst.

I agree. There are people that would rather flip between big games and our game w New Mexico State than attend unfortunately. If it's happening everywhere it won't be out of the ordinary for recruits I guess

Huh?

You do know that the returns are from the other team, right?

That eliminated the,"Well, I guess since I'm here for the tailgate, I'll go ahead and see if I can find a ticket to the game" attendees. I'd say that in the last three years, on-campus attendance is down at least 15-20 percent on average. It's down by probably 50 percent for rent-a-wins.

Yep.

They managed to take one of the best things LSU has offer Louisiana and it's fans and fricked it all up.
All for greed and money.

And all of that money goes back into the athletic department to keep it competitive. Oh, the horror.

People who have tickets do give away tickets and then those people don't show up....

Thing is the games suck so people won't go. No point in dealing with traffic, drunk people, and what will probably be a long day.

How is the LSU home schedule soooo different from the rest of college football.

Pretty damn sad when conference games are n considered big games.

Hell, some have Miss State and Ole Miss both picked ahead of LSU in the West and somehow these aren't marquee games?

The problem is less about schedule and more about spoiled fans who only see Bama as a "big" game.

Eta: LSU may possibly play up to 6 ranked opponents this year and typically plays more ranked opponents than most, yet OOC is the focus..hahahaha
There is this strange attitude that if the ranked opponent happens to be a conference opponent it is somehow lessened.

You'd think the hunger would start to creep back in.

2011 seems like 10 yrs ago.

I had two great seats and an awesome parking pass in lot 103 I was giving away for the Furman game last year. Even put it on FB hoping someone would take them that usually can't go for whatever reasons. No one cares to watch shite games like that! At least I can say I tried to do what I thought was right.

If LF shows out early, I expect to see folks filling up the seats more as the season goes on

My thought is that there are 3 home games that will be entertaining and one of them is being played in houston. Fans wont get to see an interesting game in tiger stadium til almost the end of the year. Plus the atmosphere just isnt that great anymore. The band rarely plays, the timeout breaks are full of commercials or kissing donors asses, the seats aren't comfortable, its going to be hotter than ever and the concessions are overpriced. Please tell me what the advantage is of actually being in the stadium for the games besides bama and ole miss.
