Well, "marriage" was viewed as a fundamental right by the founders, but I'm sure they wouldn't have agreed that it was an unlimited right which included homosexuality, polygamy, or any other form that many are proposing as acceptable today.

I believe in property ownership, but I wouldn't take it to the absurd extreme they did with the ownership of people.

My point was just that "rights" are limited to one degree or another, so even if there was an understood right to marriage, it would have been limited in certain ways, just like our other rights.

NO, polygamist's marriage rights are next.

They should have been ahead of the gays anyway. I expect full support for polygamists from all gay marriage rights supporters.

North Carolina's AG just announced he will no longer defend that state's ban after the 4th Circuit ruling today.

Doesn't bother me

I couldn't give two shits less what grown, consenting adults do in their bedroom or want to call themselves.

Virginia had a Gay Marriage Ban?

After Loving v Va?

Either those Virginians are dumbass folks, or the OP is misstated.

Which is it?

It would be historically ironic and deja vu as hell if SCOTUS took the Virginia case to strike down gay marriage bans nation wide. They have a choice of taking cases from Utah, Oklahoma, or Virginia for the 2014 term.

Imo, Gay marriage on SCOTUS will probably be 6-3 or 7-2 in favor of but it wouldn't be surprising for it to be unanimous as well like loving was.

Wrong.

Next step will be forcing churches to conduct ceremonies.

Religious freedom and religious freedom of association actually gets a lot of protection from SCOTUS. shite, look at the recent uproar over hobby lobby.

I'm not convinced this prediction has any merit to it whatsoever. However, I will be your comrade in arms if Statists of any sort wishes to tread this ground that should not be approached.

Then I will be there to oppose you and do everything in my power to prevent this statist, freedom and liberty hating dream of yours from ever becoming reality.
