People will defend Peche ad nauseam. First class restaurant can't execute "kiddy food"? Oh, you ordered the wrong thing
yeah I notice

No one said those are dishes no one should order or they're bad. It's knowing what to order if you want the best possible experience at a particular restaurant.
and this is where a good wait staff is crucial. a waiter should be able to suggest the cornerstone items on a menu, and the customer should not have to do research ahead of time to determine if said waiter is right or wrong. also a top notch place should not have 2-3 good dishes and the rest a bunch of bland menu fillers. just because something has a cute name does not mean it isn't good, so ordering "fish sticks," aka beer battered fried fish, when the waiter suggests is as a staple is not so unheard of. apparently the name is equally important if not more so than the food itself to many here. I guess if it were called Wahoo a la Parmevade then all the naysayers would be shouting how it's the best fried fish they have ever eaten and everyone is just stupid for not ordering it at every Peche experience. Oh the horror

its a place known for great raw preparations that change daily and their awesome grill.... you got fried, dip, soup, and lamb.
you didnt think the whole grilled fish of the day at a place called peche seafood grill was probably a cornerstone menu item?

I think everyone agrees with you that the staff should provide better recommendations, but you sure as shite don't seem to know how to order at a restaurant. Do you normally take zero responsibility for your decisions?
