To be honest, why does he really need a smart phone?
It's not like he's on Facebook, Instagram and some social media website or message board that most people use a smart phone to go on. He probably just needs talk and text.
He's really only missing out on Angry Birds or the latest game. But I bet he has a tablet, though.

I think his voice and goofy beard make him come off that way forsure. I trained with him a couple times in high school and he was pretty cool. Just acted like an average kid, albeit this was before he was a top prospect in the country

It's not just about having access to social media...it can just make so many other tasks in every day life so much easier.
