and there you have it. if you can't recognize the difficulty of going arse to grass vs parallel...well I can't help you.
thanks for proving my point there, feller.

You read into my post too deeply, special child. My point was that anyone of that size is capable of putting up those numbers. I really don't see why which form is worth arguing about. To be able to put up that much weight, ATG or parallel is quite a feat itself. Go find another person's time to waste with your non-sense angry posts, scrub. I'm done with you, feller.

I didn't realize my post would cause such a raucous! I didn't post it for anyone to relive their glory days or debate between parallel versus arse to grass. Obviously the deeper you go the more difficult it is. My son was initially instructed by Gayle Hatch on the correct techniques of lifting. These are the same ones he uses today. So I trust the way he does it is correct and the most beneficial. I have no idea if some of you lifted the amount of weight being claimed, and quite frankly I don't care! This post was not about you! Since this one caused such a big deal I think I will refrain from posting anything in the future. We will just wait until he takes the field, whenever that time comes! See you all in Death Valley! Geaux Tigers!

Don't let some of these guys discourage you. We LOVE getting first hand accounts of our Tigers whenever we can and who better to here from on Garrett than you. Thanks again and

Pretty beastly... Just to throw it out there BUGA is only 19 and squats 605!

I actually feel the same way. Normally I hate falling for the hype until I see them on a college football field, but I think this class will be special. 1 SEC Championship minimum. 1. Nat Champ. Minimum
Wait a minute, you get on my case for looking ahead with the DBs and then you post this? just messing with you.
I'm in that same boat. While we did miss some top recruits, it may be better in the long run. This is one of the top classes LSU has ever had, and what makes them better is this is one of the more professional classes we have had. They all seem to have their heads on very straight and want to push each other to become better.
I think by the time they move on, this incoming class will prove they were one of the best

Is this the kid they thought was going to Ole Miss and then started to trash because LSU didn't want/need him?
Posted on 7/28/14 at 8:05 am to lsu2006
way to ruin this mans post about his son. now we will get no more inside info.
people need to grow up on this website.

That just looks dangerous.
Hated doing squats, good way to hurt back or knee.
Especially when you are trying to lift a ton.

Those injuries typically occur when you dont use good form. Its amazing how many people squat with alot of weight and use shitty form. This was an example of using good safe form

This happens every year around this time of year as weight room info comes out. A couple of wannabees or roid-heads come out of the woodworks to proclaim they were doing those kind of numbers in the 10 grade weighting 185 lbs....we normally just laugh at them.
Thanks for the info wildman!!

1/4 squats do not count
ETA: Garrett is actually my favorite recruit in this class. What sets him apart for me is his character and work ethic. LSU has a leader in this young man.
LF is awesome for sure in all aspects, but I was an olineman.....

When you consider how tall he is, and long built, it's even MORE impressive. He's got a long distance to travel with that (Full) motion.

He's my favorite tiger of all time.

I believe it. I'm trying to find a way to post a video from Facebook now of one of my buddies that front squatted 440 the other day. He's 5'9 175

This freshman class is full of grown arse men.

My grandson weighed 140 lbs. & snatch & jerked 360 to win the silver metal in his weight class. It sounds right with me.
