This should be read by Morgan Freeman and put over a highlight video...

Maybe not the first part about you disliking the Tigers, but the rest of it.

I've noticed a lot of New Orleans students at LSU would take another Super Bowl over a LSU championship in football. A huge fan of both teams but I'd love to win a championship as a student 2011 . His is my last year so hopefully we make the playoffs.

I don't understand the either/or mentality between the Tigers and Saints. You guys realize they don't compete against each other, right?

You can do both!

That said, I will always be a college > NFL guy. But that doesn't preclude me from rooting for the Saints on Sundays.

I grew up in NOLA in the '80s and 90's too. However, I don't remember anyone talking about LSU. None of my friends or their parents ever spoke of LSU. The Saints though, that's a different story. Southern and Grambling were the colleges of choice. I started following LSU when I moved to Georgia in '97. Fast forward to 2014, I love LSU, the Pelicans, and the Saints equally.

Way too fricking long. Read the first half maybe. Sadly I know a lot of minority LSU "fans" who have some jealousy towards LSU when they are good and actually pull against them but pretend to like them. Never heard it related to Saints though. Always just figured it had to do with a black or white QB getting respect since all other decisions are ao racially driven.

You left your luggage behind? You can't be too smart.

Exactly!!
At some point you realize that some posters really get their rocks off or some type of confidence boost from logging into their computers and slinging insults to strangers on the web.

That is when you just laugh...

And laugh....

And laugh a little harder.

P.S.
I just got back from Best Buy.
Too many visions of these upcoming Saturday's and Sundays to not get that 4k TV. Installation and set up tomorrow. I know I'll feel like a sucka when the prices drop, but I couldn't wait.

And then you just laugh a little harder..

Good story. I used to follow LSU recruiting very closely and had a ton of excitement this time of year. That has waned a little in the past 3-4 years but it is now stronger than ever with this class coming in. Can't wait to drive to Houston in a few weeks and watch them in action. The potential for this team is absolutely there for a championship. It may not happen this year but I could see it happening within the next 3 years or so.

I'm with you brother. LSU is a special place, almost magical. I'm an old timer and have been hooked on the Tigers since my Dad took me to the 1967 Sugar Bowl in Tulane stadium against Wyoming in the rain. I was 7 years old. I remember the Golden Girls the most. Boy were they fine. But even then you could feel the manic. Tigers will always be #1 with me.

It's the year I moved to Georgia. So, just watching an LSU or Saints game cured any home sickness.

I have always loved the Saints and LSU equally, maybe followed Saints a little better as a very young child, but I would always take National Championships over Superbowls. That is easy.

College is just a much more closer to home.. more of the guys are actually from the south and where you grow up.. There's a closer rooting interest.

. Of course Ive been wrong plenty and disappointed many times , but you know what, that's being a fan. I like that I think with my heart when it comes to the Tigers.

Im the exact way. i feel LSU will win every single game they play and will give you reasons as to why i think that way. Obviously i have had doubts and questioned everything possible over the years, but can not tell you a single game where i said "We are going to lose."

Ps: im only 20 so i grew up in the Golden Age of LSU football where we are rarely a big underdog. 2000 Tennessee game that hooked me. i was six and remember it like it was yesterday. That game began a bond and loyalty to this program that is indescribable. It is Probably unhealthy how much i care now, but i know i am not alone on here. Still one of the best games i have been to
