As long as it's a one year deal and this clown is out of the clubhouse with all swiftness, I guess it could work. Must have been the best catcher available, but Jesus...

Sox smeared him on the way out. stuff about basically being a man apart from the team, not providing any kind of guidance to young pitchers, etc.
he's made a point of being a "fierce competitor" that "gets under the opponent's skin" his whole career, so you know what kind of personality you're getting.
maybe the cardinal organization felt the clubhouse has enough leadership that they really can keep him in check a bit? as a pirate fan, i certainly hope he spreads hate and discontent throughout.

Yea I mean I have a better chance of being on the opening day roster next year than he does
