Going with my dad next week. We are already going fly fishing one day. What are some other things I need to do while there?

Go see all the geysers, go to lower and upper falls. See Yellowstone lake. Go see all the hot springs and mud pots.
Others than that, Old Faithful Inn is a beautiful structure, there are lots of animals just cruising around to see. If you feel like leaving the park, go east to Cody and go to the Buffalo Bill museum

The big one gonna blow any day now. Streets melting, buffalo leaving in droves down the hiway single file...

Go do the Beartooth Highway while you're out there. Breathtaking views.
Make sure you see artists point in Yellowstone, and the falls.

Yellowstone lake, the Lamar valley and the Grand Canyon and amazing to see. I also recommend visiting Yellowstone Lodge at Old faithful.
The entire park is just incredible. Everybody would visit it at least once in their lifetime.
Bring a quality set of binoculars and a camera with a telephoto lens. It is so vast that you really need some serious optics to see many places.
Be careful of bears. They are everywhere.

worked there two summers. if you have the time, go out northeast entrance bear tooth mountains and red lodge. Roosevelt lodge is a very nice area. another place outside the park is earthquake lake, which is out of the west entrance. there's a cool restaurant called einos (or used to be at least) where you grill your own steaks.

Watch for the bears. Also, if the water is up from the snow melt, fishing will be tuff.

People that have never been do not grasp how large it is, I stayed in the park for 7 days drove over 1000 miles never leaving the park, and did not get to see everything I had planned.

If you are going to be there for 4
or 5 days look at a Yellowstone map. The road system is roughly a figure 8. Take one day to drive each quarter. As a previous poster said, you won't see everything but you will get a good idea of how great it is.
Definitely check out the lobby of the Old Faithful Inn. The design is incredible.
Old Faithful is a well known part of the park but is just a small part of it.
Finally, while you are there just know a lot of folks are jealous as hell !

My only advice is bring a jacket. It's gonna be pretty damn cold at night. And watch out for the bison.

My family went many years ago so you can verify if this is still okay - we fished in Yellowstone Lake and caught some lake trout. We brought the fish to the restaurant at Old Faithful Inn (I think) and they cooked them for us for lunch. Incredibly fresh fish!

Another vote for the Bear Tooth Mountain road on the NE corner. Do some short hikes. Bring some layers of cloths and a light weight poncho. You never know when it's going to rain or snow even in the summer. My wife and I saw all the wildlife except for wolfves. We were out from daylight to dark. Can't wait to go back and get a wolf.

I am here in Yellowstone now. Depends on what you want to do. For animal activity, got to Haden Valley. We had a heard of Bison around us today. I have seen two black bears and two wolves here. Tons of Elk including one monster...
We are staying in Big Sky Montana and driving down. The mountain up here is about as good as Yellowstone.
I will post a few pics in a second

Go to Gardiner, MT. It's the original entrance to the park. Get some biscuits and gravy at the Town Cafe for breakfast one day. Best I have ever had.
