That's very strange. My 90 two's safety in the "up" position on the slide means it is disengaged and ready to fire.

But I love it as range gun. There is virtually no recoil since the thing has a wide slide and a metal frame. It is a breeze to shoot. But for a carry gun, I agree with Dawg in that there are much better options.

My bad. I was dumb (meant disengaged). Safety in "up to fire" is bass-ackwards to me.

Of course none of my carry guns have an external safety, so it's really easy for a dumb redneck like me to get confused.
