I mainly fish Big Lake, Lake Boudreaux, and Leeville. My favorite place to relax and enjoy nature is Lake Martin near Breaux Bridge.

Lake Martin is beautiful! But, I've never had much luck fishing out there.

Neither have I

I've only caught catfish out there. I don't go there for the fishing though, just to cruise around and relax.

I think it's because that place gets so much boat traffic. And they don't drain the lake anymore. From what I've read, that place used to be awesome for bass. Then sometime back in the 90's they stopped draining the lake because it was messing with bird migrations or some BS. Fishing has gone downhill since then. Sad.

Looks beautiful, do you catch much?

I usually launch out of Kern's. $2 launch fee for a kayak/canoe, $4 for a boat. Sometimes I go to the public launch in Butte Larose and fish that side, but there's usually more boat traffic. Those pictures are not far from Kern's.

Bass...sometimes I catch, and sometimes I don't. But you could catch bream all day pretty much anywhere in the basin.

I have the iSolunar app on my phone. Every time I've gone when there were 3-4 fish, I've caught. 1 or 2 fish, I've had slow days.

It may just be coincidence. But I've fished 1 fish days other places and caught fish. Henderson seems to follow it pretty close.
