Same here. They knocked that renovation out the park.

Jesus we have the gorgeous coliseum facades in 1936 and then almost every expansion after 1950 destroys the aesthetic motif of the stadium.

Two more from LSU's social media accounts.
The quad and Tiger Stadium in 1930:
LSU vs Tulane in 1936. Apparently that one section in the NEZ didn't fill up then, either.

Sounds to me like you don't know a whole lot about commercial construction projects.
The final two weeks of 99% of commercial construction is when most trades and the GC kick it into high gear, hoping to make the punch list and show substantial completion without facing liquidated damages due to running over. Where LSU and the architects dropped the ball is setting completion date so close to kickoff.

how many of you remember the small stand in the south end zone near the visiting team entrance where the "colored" were allowed to sit?

Sitting out in he middle, biggest building on campus.

It was the original basketball arena until Parker was built. Could have been expanded and we would have had our own Cameron Indoor.

It's crazy to see those pictures and see how much the area has grown. If it wasn't for the memorial tower I wouldn't even recognize the campus. Looks like they built in the middle of no where.

I forgot how tiny Mike's old cage was.

At the max there was a week left until the scheduled completion date when Katrina hit. The upper deck should have been done. Katrina didn't delay anything that wasn't already delayed.
I remember when I was a student at LSU during that time seeing the sign about the expansion project saying "completion date: September 2005" and thinking, "Yeeeaaa...that's definitely not happening." That was the summer of '05 and well before Katrina caused the trouble that it did. Funny thing is, even after Katrina, that same sign stayed up for a while before they took it down.

They pretty much did. A guy in one of my classes last semester said something along the lines of "I love our campus, but I wish they wouldn't have built it right next to the ghetto." I told him "well, they didn't."

Also why the hell did they ever shoe horn Middleton in the middle of hill library, Prescott, and Peabody
I wonder if Hill is big enough to handle the load of middleton or if you are able to add to so it looks good?
then implode the shite out of middleton and its glory holes.
